It took five sets, but IUP’s volleyball team advanced in the PSAC tournament with a win over Shepherd. The two teams traded wins in the first four sets, but Indiana came out 15-7 in the decider to take the win. IUP will take on Gannon in the finals tonight in Erie.
IUP’s women’s soccer team lost to West Virginia State 2-1 in Double Overtime to fall out of the PSAC tournament. Julia Csernyik scored the only goal for the Crimson Hawks in the third minute of the first half. IUP registered just six shots on goal during regulation and couldn’t convert in overtime. Makenna Yarrow made eight saves in regulation and two more in the first overtime period.
