Mildred “Millie” Chloe (Greene) Head, 83, of Indiana, PA went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from Beacon Ridge in Indiana, PA.
The daughter of Clifford J. Greene, Sr. and Irene E. (Brickell) Greene, she was born on December 26, 1940 in Pittsburgh, PA.
For many years Millie attended the Purchase Line Church of The Brethren.
She had worked as a secretary for her husband’s Bob Head’s coal company.
Millie loved to keep active and busy. She greatly enjoyed traveling with her husband Bob and spending the wintertime in Florida.
She thoroughly loved spending time with her family.
Millie is survived by her three children: Dean Lockard Jr. and wife Lisa of Clymer, PA; Dee Ann Simms of Indiana, PA and David Lockard of Indiana, PA; her four grandchildren: Jessica Shirley and husband Carl; Brianna Lockard; Nicole Simms and Laura Miller; her step-grandchildren: Christina Boring and Chad Bowman; her two great grandchildren: Brinley Miller and Chloe Shirley; her five siblings: Bill Greene and wife Norreen; Joyce De Laurentiis; Carson Greene, Sr. and wife Rose; Judy Welty and Amy Goss and husband Gary and her numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Robert E. Head; her first husband: Dean A. Lockard, Sr.; her baby sister: Margaret Greene; her sister: Mary Lou Frick; her brothers: Clifford Greene, Jr.; Pete Greene, Sr. and Herb Greene and her step-grandchild: Alicia Bowman.
Family and friends will be received from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, where immediately following the visitation an 11:00 a.m. funeral service will be officiated by Millie’s nephew, Pastor Doug Greene. Interment will be at Ruffner Cemetery at Tanoma Road, Clymer, PA.
