A fast-moving brush fire in Cherryhill Township led to a destroyed chicken coop Tuesday afternoon.
Firefighters from Cherryhill and Pine Townships, Clymer, and Commodore were summoned to a 100 x 100 foot brush fire along Route 403 North around 1:41 along with the RIT Team and Citizens Ambulance.
Junior Sabo with the Cherryhill Township Fire Department said the fire started after someone was burning trash, and the fire quickly spread to a 12 x 12 foot chicken coop, destroying it entirely. Sabo adds no chickens were in the coop as it was used for storage.
No one was hurt and crews were on scene for approximately 90 minutes.
