INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
An Indiana man was charged in connection with simple assault and harassment for an incident late Sunday night. Indiana Borough Police say they were dispatched to a location in the 100 block of Wayne Avenue for a reported domestic incident in progress. 22-year-old Symere Cunningham-Jackson was allegedly involved in a physical altercation with an identified woman. Charges were filed through district judge Christopher Welch’s office. Cunningham-Jackson was taken to Indiana County Jail after his arraignment as he was unable to post $500 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for October 24th.
Indiana borough police charged a Greensburg man with retail theft and underage alcohol consumption for an incident reported early Sunday morning. Officers were called out at 1:35 AM to the 300 block of Philadelphia Street for a reported theft in process. Police identified the suspect as 19-year-old Matthew Scarpa and said he had taken several items without paying for them, and was also in an intoxicated state. Charges were filed through district judge Tony Sottile’s office.
