For the second straight year, S&T Bank made a $20,000 donation towards Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.
The Indiana-based bank collected the money last month as customers opened Smart Start Banking accounts, which are designed for 14- to 24-year-olds looking to build a solid foundation in the world of personal finance, while also obtaining effective money management skills. The donations work together with S&T’s promise of people-forward banking, and they demonstrate a desire to help teens and young adults learn healthy money habits.
S&T Bank Chief Executive Officer Chris McComish called the donation drive a “compelling opportunity” to help build a better future for customers and communities in and around the Pittsburgh area. He adds quote, “it’s even more special when we have a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.”
