The Westsylvania Jazz and Blues Festival is continuing to prepare for this year’s edition at the end of this month, and as part of that prep, they have announced the lineup for this year’s event on May 24th and 25th.
The music will start with a kickoff concert Friday night at the Indiana Theater featuring singer and trumpeter Benny Benack III. The show starts at 7:30 and will have an admission cost for both general admission and VIP seats.
Saturday’s lineup will play at IRMC Park and these concerts will be free. It starts with the Indiana Junior High Jazz Band at 11:00 AM, followed by the Apollo-Ridge High School Jazz Combo at 11:45. At 12:45, it will be the John Bagnato String Trio featuring Tim Wetmiller. Jared Sims will take the stage at 2:00, Gabe Stillman at 3:30, Howie Alexander at 5:30, and this year’s main attraction is John Nemeth at 7:30.
While they plan on having late night performances at establishments throughout the area, the artists and venues have not been announced yet.
