Tonight is IUP’s annual “Take Back The Night” march across campus.
The event is being put on by IUP, the Indiana Community and the Haven Project, and is meant to raise awareness about sexual violence and support those who were impacted by violence. The event started at IUP in the ‘90s, but Jenn McCroskey, sexual violence prevention educator for the Haven Project at IUP, said that events will begin in the Oak Grove at 6:00 for an hour of empowerment activities before starting the march across the Oak Grove at 7:00.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, you can log on to the Haven Project’s website.
