Two vehicle crashes were reported within minutes of each other this morning in Indiana County.
The first was reported at 10:30 AM along Kunkle Road in Washington Township. Creekside and Plumville firefighters were dispatched along with the state police. Creekside Fire Chief Cody Hitchings said that one man suffered minor injuries and was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center. Entrapment was originally reported, but the man was able to get himself out before first responders arrived.
The second crash was reported at 10:37 AM on Route 119 near Pollock Road. Marion Center and Indiana fire departments, state police and Citizens’ Ambulance were dispatched at the time. Officials on-scene said that there were no injuries reported, and icy roads may have played a factor in the crash. The vehicle was able to get off the road to allow a quick return to normal traffic flow.
