During the Blairsville Borough Council meeting Tuesday night, Blairsville Police Chief Lou Sacco informed council that he is working on acquiring another Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency grant.
This would be a similar move to when the Blairsville and Indiana police departments received PCCD funding to upgrade their radios. But exactly what the chief wants to use the money for has yet to be decided.
He did say that Blairsville would handle the fiscal end of the collaboration between Indiana Chief Justin Schawl and District Attorney Bob Manzi for this grant.
In other business, the borough council reappointed Jon Herby to the Blairsville Community Development Authority and acknowledged the receipt of letters from Dan Vresilovic and Patte McElhoes for appointment to the Blairsville Municipal Authority.
