Indiana County’s first responders had a busy afternoon on Thursday, responding to two incidents within minutes of each other.
Indiana Fire Association, Citizens’ Ambulance and state police were summoned to an area along Shelly Drive in White Township for a three-vehicle crash around 2:33 PM. Scanner reports say no one was injured and one person was trapped in a vehicle, however, firefighters were able to get them out quickly.
A few minutes later, Commodore, Clymer and Cherry Tree firefighters were dispatched to a flue fire at a home along Douglas Street in Green Township. RIT teams from Cambria County were summoned as well. Scanner reports say the fire quickly spread from the chimney to the walls. No word on any potential injuries.
