On Friday, dog licenses will go on sale at the Indiana County Treasurer’s office and at agent offices for the 2024 year.
Costs for the licenses are $8.70, or $6.70 if the dog has been spayed or neutered. Discounts are available for seniors or disabled people, with the prices being $6.70 or $4.70 if the dog is spayed or neutered. This is an increase of twenty cents over last year’s prices.
Licenses can be purchased at the Indiana County Treasurer’s Office or at these agencies:
- Tails on the Town in Blairsville
- RC Indoor Archery Range in Clymer
- Daniel’s Depot in Strongstown
- Marion Center Farm & Feed in Marion Center
- Dughill Ammo & Arms in Rossiter
People are reminded that there is an extra 50-cent fee on top of the costs for buying through an agent.
The Treasurer’s office is reminding people that after February 1st, there will be no more discount for spayed and neutered dogs, and the law will also change that day to require that dogs be registered at eight weeks old.
All 2023 licenses will expire on December 31st, no matter when you bought them during the year. For more information on dog licenses, you can contact the Treasurer’s Office at 724-465-3845 or visit the office at the county courthouse.
