The IUP Research Institute Board of Directors has announced an Indiana woman as the new executive director of the institute.
Dr. Tracy Eisenhower has been the interim executive director since December of 2022, and has been a part of the institute since 2004. During her time, she has worked in a variety of positions, including a pre- and post-award specialist, senior grant and contract specialist, and as associate director. She has also been a consultant for the Office of Sponsored Research-Division of Research Administration on policy and procedure development and implementation for North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
Research Institute Board President David Antolik said that Dr. Eisenhower has been great as the interim executive director and was deserving of the permanent role. He said he was confident that she will put the institute in good positions for ongoing success, especially as IUP moves forward with a proposed college of Osteopathic Medicine.
Eisenhower credited her team with the recent success, saying their professionalism, expertise, and commitment to IUP are top-notch. She hopes to continue to build a more cohesive work environment team and strengthening the partnerships among the Research Institute and various offices and individuals across campus, building on our already positive reputation across IUP, Commonwealth, and PennWest campuses.
