Robert A Smith, 94, Indiana, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023, while at the Indiana Region Medical Center.
The son of Albert C. and Anna (Coury) Smith, he was born March 3, 1929 in Homer City.
Robert was a graduate of Laurel Lamar High School and attended Penn State University.
He was a veteran, having served in the Navy. Robert was employed numerous years early in his career with Syntron as a Technician, then employed by the Homer City Coal Cleaning and Processing Plant and was a Member of Local 2193.
Robert was an avid hunter who also liked to fish and go camping. Who Belonged to the Red Barn Sportsman Club and was also a member at the Sinnemahoning Sportsmen’s Association. He also relaxed while wood working.
Surviving is his daughter, Koury A Barr, Mt. Pleasant; granddaughter, Taylor (John) Williams, Irwin; best friends, Tom Turify and Tom Stahlman.
Preceding Robert in death were his parents and brother, Albert Jr; and a sister, Alberta.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at the John A Lefdahl Funeral.
Interment in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies will be private.
