At the IRMC Cardiology Suite where she works, Trent Davis’ mom Janie Broadbent and his half-siblings Jax and Sadie Trent were presented with his posthumous award by two representatives of the Ukranian Military. Broadbent said that she was a rollercoaster of emotions at that moment, but she said that she was very proud of what he did.
21-year-old Trent Davis was killed during his volunteer work with the International Legion of Ukrainian Armed Forces. An Army veteran of four years, he first went there in March of 2022 to help train civilians and soldiers fighting against the Russian forces. After returning home, he went back in October of last year, and was killed on November 8th while trying to save several civilians.
