Additional charges were filed against an Indiana man accused of selling drugs in Indiana County.
District Attorney Robert Manzi said in a news release 25-year-old Sterling Friel was charged on Thursday with possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. This goes along with a pre-existing charge of the same crime.
The charges stem from an incident in July where members of the Indiana Borough Police and Indiana County Drug Task Force were informed that Friel allegedly sold drugs in the county. As part of an investigation, Friel sold narcotics to a confidential informant and a search warrant was executed on his home, which turned up approximately 63.5 grams of cocaine, drug paraphernalia and cash.
A warrant has been issued for Friel’s arrest. Anyone with information is urged to call a local police department or the Indiana County District Attorney’s Office.
