The Purchase Line School Board heard an update regarding an initiative geared towards helping students at their meeting Monday night.
Superintendent Patricia Berezansky updated the board of the district’s involvement with a new county-wide initiative called “Handle With Care,” which is in cooperation with the Indiana County District Attorney’s Office, the United Way of Indiana County, and Indiana County’s school districts. Berezansky talked about what the initiative entails.
In other business, the board approved several personnel issues related to the start of the 2023-24 school year.
One motion was to approve, with regret, the resignation of Junior/Senior High School principal Gregory Shingle, who held the position for a little over a year. No reason was given for his resignation. The board then approved hiring Eric Thomas as new junior/senior high principal effective August 15th.
