Indiana Borough Police arrested a man charged with aggravated assault and other crimes related to an incident on August 2nd.
According to a news release, the incident started at 2:00 PM at a home in the 400 block of Water Street, when 45-year-old Charles Livingston, Jr. confronted someone known to him over a past issue. Livingston allegedly displayed a knife and attempted to assault the victim. The victim avoided contact with the knife but was hit during the assault. The two fled the area, and police were contacted by the victim shortly after.
Borough Police found Livingston in an apartment in White Township. State police assisted in the arrest.
On top of aggravated assault, Livingston was charged with terroristic threats, possession of an instrument of crime and reckless endangerment. He is now in Indiana County Jail on $30,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for August 17th.
