The Cherryhill Township Fire Department celebrated the dedication and ribbon cutting of its new facility on Sunday.
The new building on North Harmony Road has been in the works for over 20 years. Fire chief Jody Rainey says that his grandfather, Richard Fyock, was the founder of the fire company, and would be proud of the fact that the fire department will continue for many years to come with the new building.
The building also includes a tribute to those who supported the new engine house with a wooden block wall with the names of donors engraved in it. Rainey was grateful for those donors.
The dedication ceremonies included a non-denominational service along with an open house and musical entertainment in the afternoon.
