Today was the ribbon cutting ceremony for a compressed natural gas fueling station in Indiana.
The Trillium CNG station located on Saltsburg Street will primarily serve IndiGo, but the station is also open to the public 24/7. The station was built through a public-private partnership between Trillium and PennDOT. This marks the fourth of six new CNG stations being built by Trillium across the state as part of that partnership and will provide CNG to more than 1,600 buses across Pennsylvania, including eleven from IndiGo.
In a news release, Bill Cashmareck of Trillium said that the work behind that partnership is beginning to pay off, as they are offering a clean fuel derived from abundant local resources, and they are giving consumers a new option when it comes to vehicle fuel.
Along with private CNG stations, there are 34 CNG stations across the state.
