One person was injured and traffic on one of Indiana County’s major highways was tied up during rush hour on Tuesday after a passenger vehicle and a tractor trailer collided nearly head-on.
State Police on the scene said that the driver of a “passenger vehicle” was going south on Route 119 around 4:30 yesterday afternoon, and as they approached a curve near Falcon Drilling, the vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a tractor trailer. The names of the two drivers were not released, but the driver of the car had what police called “minor scrapes” and refused medical treatment. The truck driver was not injured.
Traffic was tied up on Route 119 for about an hour as emergency crews from Indiana Fire Association helped state police investigate and clean up the crash scene.
