Several fire crews were active on Monday as three incidents were reported to Indiana County 911.
A brush fire was reported around 12:23 p.m. along Smith Road in Center Township. Homer City Fire Department was initially dispatched, while Aultman and Coral/Graceton crews were called in to assist between 12:27 and 12:39. Homer City fire chief Terry Gardner said the fire started after someone in the area was burning garbage. He adds no one was injured and crews were on scene between 30 and 40 minutes.
A report of utility lines down was reported around 10:41 this morning. It sent Indiana Fire Association members to the 200 block of Hickory Lane in Armstrong Township.
Officials said in a Facebook post that crews arrived and found that a tree was laying across wires and smoking. Crews were on scene for 30 minutes tending to the situation.
Iselin/West Lebanon Fire Department members were active early this morning as they were called for traffic control in neighboring Armstrong County around 5:51 a.m.
