It was an active Saturday for Indiana County firefighters, who were summoned for two brush fires and two structure fires.
The action started with a brush fire along Nursery Road in Conemaugh Township. Firefighters from Iselin/West Lebanon were summoned shortly after two o’clock and were soon joined by crews from Saltsburg, Coal Run/McIntyre, Tunnelton, and Elderton. Iselin/West Lebanon was then dispatched about two hours later to a brush fire along Route 286 in Young Township.
Shortly before nine o’clock last night firefighters from Glen Campbell, Cherry Tree, and Burnside, along with Team 900, were called for a structure fire along Glenwood Avenue in Glen Campbell Borough. Cherryhill Township and Rossiter fire companies were sent to the scene just minutes later. Then at 11:25 last night, Indiana firefighters and Team 900 were dispatched for a reported structure fire along Grove Lane in White Township.
