The average price of a gallon of gas in Indiana County has gone down over the last few weeks.
According to Gasbuddy.com, the average cost of a gallon of gas in Indiana County is $3.03, which is down significantly from earlier this year, when prices were up to $3.15 a gallon on average.
Gas prices across the Homer City, Center Township, White Township and Indiana Borough area are at $2.99 a gallon, which is another drop in prices. That’s also the price of gas at the Sheetz on East Market Street in Blairsville. Along the Route 22 corridor, gas prices at two stations in Burrell township are higher, as they check in at $3.03 a gallon.
Comparing Indiana County to its neighbors, Clearfield and Cambria counties are at $2.98 a gallon. Armstrong is next highest at $3.02. For Westmoreland and Jefferson counties, their average cost of a gallon of gas is $3.06.
The statewide average is $2.96 a gallon, down five cents from last week.
