Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey has announced he has prostate cancer.
Earlier today, Casey issued a news release announcing his diagnosis, which came to him last month. He said that while he was initially shocked, he has an excellent prognosis, and will undergo surgery in the coming months.
He added he expects to recover fully and will continue to serve in the U.S. Senate with minimal disruption. He is currently serving his third term as senator.
