Four Indiana County Republican row officers announced their candidacy for re-election this morning.
Among those announcing their candidacy for the May 16th primary election were Indiana County District Attorney Robert Manzi, who seeks a second term in office; Sheriff Bob Fyock, who seeks his sixth term; Prothonotary and Clerk of Courts Randy Degenkolb, who seeks a third term; and County Auditor Bonni Dunlap, who also seeks a second term.

Manzi was elected as District Attorney in January 2020, just weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic struck. He said the pandemic gave him the opportunity to upgrade technology across the county.
Fyock took over as Sheriff in 2004 and carries more than 50 years of experience in law enforcement. While ensuring safety remains a top priority, he adds that maintaining a strong connection with the county’s youth is something he hopes to continue if re-elected.
Degenkolb has served as the county Prothonotary and Clerk of Courts since 2010 and said one thing he’s proud of is building a bridge between the community and his office.
Dunlap was elected as County Auditor in 2019 and helped play an integral part in a digital transition for her office, which is something she plans on continuing to develop if re-elected.
There will also be a vacancy in the auditor’s office as Donna Cupp announced that she will not seek re-election.
The total number of county officials running for re-election in the May primary is seven, as county commissioners Mike Keith, Robin Gorman and Sherene Hess announced their campaigns in December.
