Indiana Borough Police report an instance of burglary, and an incident of public drunkenness.
Police say a burglar broke into a home in the 200 block of South 10th Street between 2 PM Friday and 7 PM Saturday. A door was damaged in the break-in and items were taken from inside. Police do not say what was stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 349-2121.
Borough police responded to the 400 block of Philadelphia Street at 10:30 Saturday night for a report of a male lying in the grass. Upon arrival, police discovered 61-year-old Milton Gray Jr. of Indiana lying on the sidewalk. Police determined that Gray was intoxicated and placed him under arrest for public drunkenness. Gray was taken to the hospital where he was then cleared for jail. Gray was housed at the Indiana County Jail for the evening and was later released. Charges were filed through Judge Haberl’s office.
