First responders were busy with three calls reported on Monday, including one at a farm house in Washington Township.
At 9:17 AM on Monday, Creekside, Plumville, Marion Center, and Elderton fire departments along with the county RIT team and Citizen’s Ambulance were dispatched to 787 Frick Road near Creekside. Clymer, Coal Run-McIntyre and Iselin-West Lebanon fire departments were called for standby detail within an hour, and Rural Valley and Dayton fire departments were dispatched to provide manpower on the scene at 9:52 AM. Officials with the Plumville Fire Department said that when they got there, fire was showing from one side of the house, and within 20 minutes of the arrival of first responders, the house collapsed in on itself.

No word yet on the exact cause of the fire. The occupants were able to get out without injury. The cause of the fire has not yet been announced.
The second call was for a brush fire on Marshall Heights Road in Burrell Township, reported at 4:06 PM. Blairsville, Black Lick, and Coral Graceton fire crews were dispatched at the time. No word yet on what the cause of the brush fire was.
And for the second time in as many days, a faulty HVAC system triggered fire alarms that brought multiple fire departments to the Blairsville Area. This time, it was at the Blue Diamond Bar on East Market Street. Blairsville, Black Lick, Homer City and Coral-Graceton fire departments were dispatched at 7:21 PM, along with the RIG team, Citizen’s Ambulance and Blairsville Police. Blairsville fire officials said that they shut power off and ventilated the first floor of the establishment, and cleared the scene in 45 minutes. Damage was minimal.
