On Monday night, the Marion Center School Board received an update on reunification plans.
The district is teaming up with Indiana, Homer-Center, Purchase Line and Penns Manor School Districts for training with the “I Love You Guys” group concerning plans during times where students need to be evacuated off site, according to Superintendent Clint Weimer.
Weimer added that they are in the process of getting contracts ready and are looking at training in early spring or summer, and all the districts involved will split the cost to do a “train the trainer” program to bring the program’s training to the district.
In other business, the board approved two trips. One trip will be for the Marching Band to perform at Walt Disney World in early February, and one for the sixth-grade class to Hershey.
