The Pittsburgh Penguins won a back-and-forth game against the Toronto Maple Leafs last night 4-2.
The scoring started with former Penguin Zach Aston-Reese scoring at the 13:49 mark of the first period. Evgeni Malkin tied it up in the final minute of the period. In the second, the Pens jumped into the lead with a Jason Zucker goal that Malkin assisted on to make it 2-1 at the 1:08 mark, but William Nylander would score at the 17:17 mark of the second to put it back into a tie. The Pens broke out in the third with a goal by Brock McGinn at 1:54 of the third, then Jake Guentzel scored an empty netter in the final minute of the game to seal the deal. Pens Goalie Casey DeSmith stopped 28 of 30 shots on goal.
The Pens next game is tonight, staying north of the border to take on the Montreal Canadiens.
