Several motions hearings are scheduled for today in Indiana County’s Court of Common Pleas including one for a Johnstown man who faces charges in the 2020 shooting at Carriage House in Indiana.
20-year-old Terrion Gates of Johnstown faces charges of Criminal Homicide, Robbery-Inflicting Serious Injury and Theft by Unlawful Taking for the October 17th, 2020 shooting at the student housing complex on Oakland Avenue. Gates is charged with Isaiah Moore of Philadelphia, Isabella Edmonds of Indiana and Delmar Chatman of Johnstown for the shooting death of Jaedyn Wright during an incident where the four went to Wright to get marijuana. The encounter lead to the shooting death of Wright, and the four fled on foot after the shooting.
Jury selection in Gates’ trial is scheduled for January 23rd, with the trial expected to get underway the next day. Meanwhile, Edmonds is due back in court on November 4th for a criminal call hearing. Moore is scheduled to have a motions hearing himself on November 16th, with a trial date set for March of next year. Jury selection for Chatman’s trial is set for December 19th.
