A national non-profit organization awarded an Indiana County organization at its annual conference in September.
At the National Liquor Law Enforcement Association’s (NLLEA) Annual Conference held in Pittsburgh from September 26th to the 28th, the Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission (AICDAC) received the John W. Britt Community Service Award, which recognizes non-law enforcement agencies that make significant contributions to enhance the efforts of liquor and/or tobacco enforcement.
Officials with the NLLEA credited the AICDAC in a news release saying it raised awareness in the prevention of underage drinking through environmental strategies while making contributions to enhance with liquor enforcement efforts.
Members of the AICDAC were also credited with building relationships with the Bureau of Liquor Control Efforts and educating the areas they serve on the risks associated with underage drinking.
