The polls are open from 7 AM to 8 PM today across the commonwealth, as Pennsylvania voters choose their elected officials for both state and federal races.
Pennsylvania’s redrawn congressional map has placed Indiana County in a new 15th District which runs, basically, as far north as the New York border. The new 15th includes all of Indiana County and all or portions of Armstrong, Butler, Cambria, Cameron, Centre, Clarion, Clearfield, Elk, Forest, Jefferson, McKean, Venango, and Warren counties. Current Representative Glenn “G.T.” Thompson is being challenged by Democrat Susan Bloser.
For U.S. Senator, Bob Casey is seeking reelection against Lou Barletta. Also on the ballot are Neal Taylor Gale and Dale Kerns, Jr.
Pennsylvanians must also vote for governor, choosing between incumbent Tom Wolf and challenger Scott Wagner. Paul Glover and Ken Krawchuk are also on the ballot.
For State House, the 62nd District race features two new candidates seeking to replace House Majority Leader Dave Reed. Logan Dellafiora faces off against Jim Struzzi in that race. In the 66th District, incumbent Chris Dush faces a challenge from Kerith Strano Taylor. For the 60th District, incumbent Jeff Pyle is unopposed; and for the 55th, which in Indiana County only includes Saltsburg Borough, incumbent Joseph Petrarca is unopposed.
There are no changes in polling places for Indiana County voters.
