State police are investigating a gun theft that happened earlier this month. Troopers say that the theft happened at 1025 Route 110 in White Township. The theft was reported on August 19th. Police say the gun that was stolen was a Taurus 9mm handgun with purple grip and black slide. The investigation is ongoing
An Indiana man now faces drug-related charges for an incident on August 10th in White Township. State troopers say that during the incident at 6:13 PM, authorities arrested 23-year-old Jordon Rigatti of Indiana on a charge of simple possession as he allegedly had $20 worth of suspected heroin on his person. The charges were filed through Guy Haberl’s office.
A Punxsutawney woman suffered unknown injuries in a crash on Saturday in Center Township. State police say that at 2:20 PM on August 20th, 21-year-old Kellyanne Strawcutter of Punxsutawney was in the right lane on Bethel Church Road just past Fabin Road when she failed to go through a curve in the road cleanly due to excessive speed. The Toyota Rav4 went off the roadway, and down an embankment, where it eventually stopped. Strawcutter was trapped in the vehicle, but she was later extricated and taken by Citizens’ Ambulance to Indiana Regional Medical Center for treatment.
An ATV theft continues to be under investigation after it was reported in July. State Police say that the ATV was stolen between July 16th and 18th from the home of a 64-year-old on White Station Road in Conemaugh Township. The ATV is described as green 2001 Kawasaki KVF300 Prairie. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-357-1960.
