In Indiana County Court this morning, two men from Clymer were sentenced for charges related to driving under the influence.
President Judge Thomas Bianco sentenced 44-year-old Brian J. Thacker to serve nine months to five years in Indiana County Jail for charges of DUI. Thacker will also serve nine months to two years less than one day for charges of Accident Involving death or injury. Both of those sentences will run concurrently.
Meanwhile, 48-year-old Richard Thacker will serve nine months to five years in Indiana County Jail while paying court costs and fines for a misdemeanor charge of DUI and a summary charge of driving on a suspended license.
Also sentenced today was 70-year-old Lewis Alabran of Smicksburg, who faced second-degree felony charges of Statutory Sexual Assault of someone between the ages of 8-11 for an incident that happened on this day last year. Judge Bianco sentenced Alabran to serve 18 months to five years in the State Correctional Institution while serving five years of probation.
19-year-old Christopher Dilts of Dixonville, who faced two counts of Simple Assault that were connected with a fight at the Purchase Line High School on September 23, 2021. Judge Gina Force sentenced Dilts to serve one year of probation for one count while paying a fine for the second.
