The Marion Center School Board meets tonight, with a number of personnel moves anticipated in advance of the coming school year, and with approval of other pre-school year motions as well.
Among the personnel motions, the board will look to hire three elementary school teachers, three secondary school teachers, a special education teacher, and a reading specialist. There is also a motion on a memorandum of understanding with the faculty union regarding the coordinator of the online cyber academy coordinator.
There are also motions for the board to vote on for the ARP ESSR Health & Safety Plan, the hiring of a security company, changes to the student handbooks at the high school, McCreery Elementary, and Rayne Elementary, the state Department of Education’s Emergency Instructional time template, and a number of reports and other agenda items to be considered.
The combined planning and voting meeting is scheduled for 7 o’clock.
