The 2018 road and bridge construction season is winding down with the approach of winter, but that transportation officials are always working on future plans.
The Indiana County Public Participation Panel will hold a public meeting today as part of the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission’s update process for the ten-county region’s long range transportation and development plan. The plan helps set the priorities for the area’s construction projects, programs, and actions.
The public is invited to the Careerlink office at 300 Indian Springs Road in White Township between 5 and 7 PM, to discuss particular projects or needs in their communities.
The southwestern Pennsylvania Commission is the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization for the region, including the City of Pittsburgh and the counties of Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington, and Westmoreland.
