PSP-INDIANA
State police have released the results of a recent impaired driving detail conducted in the county. Troopers say that the detail happened between 10 PM on March 25th and 3 AM on 26th. During that detail, troopers conducted 35 traffic stops, and that resulted in five DUI arrests, 16 citations and 25 warnings issued.
INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police have charged a Johnstown man with marijuana possession and other crimes for an incident over the weekend. Police say officers pulled over a vehicle in the 900 block of Oakland Avenue. 19-year-old Aaron Willis was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana during the traffic stop. Charges were filed through District Judge Guy Haberl’s office.
Indiana Borough Police are looking for more information concerning an assault that happened early Sunday morning in the 500 block of Philadelphia Street. Police say that officers were dispatched to IRMC regarding an assault that happened between two men that happened around 1:40 AM. Anyone with information on the assault can call police at 724-349-2121.
PSP-KITTANNING
State police are investigating a theft that happened sometime between November of last year and this month in Redbank Township in Armstrong County. Police say they were called out on March 21st at 3:15 PM to 373 Punxsy Road for a scrap metal theft. It was determined that on multiple occasions, an unknown thief or thieves entered scrap trailers on the property. Troopers from the Kittanning Barracks are investigating the theft.
