INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police have charged an East Vandegrift man with several crimes related to a vehicle stop in Indiana Borough last Friday. Police say that at 8:30 PM on February 4th, they pulled over a vehicle in the 200 block of North 4th Street. Officers found the driver, 28-year-old Jeffrey Sacik, Jr. was driving on a suspended license and was also in possession of suspected cocaine. Police also said that a 14-year-old boy was in the passenger seat, and determined that the teen was with Sacik when he bought the cocaine. The juvenile was turned over to his parents while Sacik was charged with possession of a controlled substance, corruption of minors, endangering the welfare of a child, driving while suspended and summary traffic offenses.
Indiana Borough Police have charged an Indiana man with criminal trespass and related crimes for an incident Sunday morning on School Street. Police say that on February 6th, police were called out at 7:16 AM to the 400 block of School Street for a report of criminal trespass. Police apprehended 24-year-old Thomas Petro. Along with criminal trespass, he was also charged with criminal mischief and public drunkenness. Charges were filed through District Judge Guy Haberl’s office.
