Sunday was an active day for Indiana County first responders.
Four vehicle accidents were reported on Sunday, starting just after midnight as a crash was reported on Mulberry Road in Green Township. Commodore fire fighters, Citizen’s Ambulance and State Police were called to the scene. At 4:31 AM, Coal Run and Iselin fire crews were called out along with state police and Lifestat Ambulance for an accident on Saltsburg Road in Young Township. The third reported accident was at 7:53 AM on Route 422 in Pine Township. Pine Township and Cherryhill Township fire crews were dispatched at the time. The 4th was on Route 56 East in Cherryhill Township at 8:42 AM. Armagh Fire Department was dispatched at the time.
Also, at 5:38 PM, Saltsburg, Tunnelton, Bell Township and Iselin Fire Departments along with the Lifestat EMS were called out for a reported structure fire on Elders Ridge Road in Conemaugh Township. No word yet on the extent of the damage from that fire.
