On Thursday, the Homer-Center School Board held their reorganization meeting and installed two new board members.
The oath of office was administered to Michael Bertig, who was re-elected in November, along with new school board members Misty Hunt and Alan Shank. Hunt talked about what she looks forward to as a new board member.
Shank was also looking forward to serving the board and helping the students.
The board re-elected Michael Bertig and Christa Pontani Palmer as board president and vice president respectively, along with Michael Schmidt as treasurer and Joe Izzei as assistant treasurer. The board also approved hiring Daeva Simmons as a long-term elementary substitute and Brenda Shirley and Cori Capps as cafeteria workers.
