Ten people were sentenced in Indiana County Court on Friday; nine of them for crimes related to driving under the influence.
Among those sentenced was 44-year-old Kathy Pilston of Marion Center, who was tried before Judge Michael Clark for two counts of driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license. Pilston was arrested in July 2020 following a traffic stop along the 400-block of S. 6th St. She was sentenced to serve 45 days in Indiana County Jail in one count, along with paying costs and fines. She will also serve probation for both counts which will run concurrently.
Judge Clark also sentenced 38-year-old David Perseo of Coral to serve probation for two misdemeanor charges: one for driving under the influence and one for possessing a small amount of controlled substances. In addition to paying costs and fines, Perseo was placed on probation for six months while serving 20 days of house arrest with electronic monitoring.
Also on the docket was a bond revocation hearing for 36-year-old Torri Heck of Elmira. Heck was sentenced to serve probation for a third-degree felony of theft on November 2, 2020. President Judge Thomas Bianco revoked Heck’s parole and street time, and she will be placed in the Indiana County Jail.
