State police have released more details on their investigation into a series of thefts that happened east of Indiana Borough.
Police reported that since Monday morning, they were investigating three incidents of burglary or attempted burglary and 11 incidents of theft from a motor vehicle that occurred in Cherryhill, White and Rayne townships. In several incidents, police say that the vehicles were unlocked, but the victims said they did not discover any property that was stolen. State police also believe that these thefts may have been the work of the same individual or group. Among the items stolen were personal items, an electronic device and tools.
State Police Troop A’s investigative unit is continuing to work on the cases, and they are urging anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in their neighborhood, especially between late Monday night and early Tuesday morning, to call them at 724-357-1960. Troopers are also asking people to make sure that their homes, cars and outbuildings are locked and to keep valuables out of sight.
