Last night was the kickoff to the holiday season for Indiana County with the Lucy Donnelly Holiday Parade and the It’s A Wonderful Life festival.
Close to 70 units took part in the parade through Downtown Indiana, with floats inspired by various holiday scenes. Hastee Kinter of the Lucy Donnelly Holiday Parade called it a success once again. She did say that she thought attendance was down, but she believed the weather may have played a factor in that.
It culminated in IRMC Park, where the 30-foot Christmas Tree donated by E-Mar Acres Farm and Ron Mancabelli lit up for the holiday season.
IRMC Park will be the location for the “It’s A Wonderful Life” festival taking place over the next five Saturdays, including today. And Sundays, the Indiana Theater will show Christmas films. For more information, check out the It’s A Wonderful Life festival online at www.wonderfullifefestival.com
