Emergency crews were busy with more calls for utility lines down and calls for trees down and basement pumping on Monday and early this morning.
Indiana County 911 reported that a vehicle crash into a utility pole on Route 286 called out the Aultman Fire Department and state police to the scene at 2:23 PM. The crash was classified as a hit-and-run. State police have not reported any details on the crash.
Two more calls for utility lines were reported at 6:37 PM on Route 259 in West Wheatfield Township and at 7:51 PM along Route 403 North in Pine Township. Clyde and Pine Township fire departments were dispatched to those incidents respectively.
Homer City Fire Department was called out for a tree across the road on Fire Academy Road at 7:25 PM. Marion Center Fire Department would be called twice for trees down. The first was at Pearce Hollow Road in Rayne Township at 7:42 PM. About two hours later, they would go back out for a trees down call on Wrigden Run Road.
For basement pumping, Blairsville Fire department was dispatched last night at 7:18 for a call at a location on North Walnut Street. Commodore Fire Department was called out this morning at 4:31 for a basement pumping call on Route 240.
