A Saltsburg woman was sentenced yesterday in Indiana County Court for her guilty pleas to charges related to an incident in 2019.
On Monday, 51-year-old Jacqueline Pratt of Saltsburg pleaded guilty to charges of Accidents involving death or personal injury and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. For both counts, she was ordered to serve three to 12 months in Indiana County Jail. She was also ordered to serve up to two years of probation after her prison time. President Judge Thomas Bianco ordered her paroled immediately.
Pratt is also due for a preliminary hearing on February 22nd for charges connected with a drug investigation. She and James Higgins of Apollo each face two felony counts of manufacture, delivery or possession of a controlled substance, of drug paraphernalia and of a small amount of marijuana. Investigators found suspected methamphetamine, digital scales and other items related to the distribution of drugs in a raid conducted at a home on Salt Street in early November of last year.
Also sentenced yesterday was John Pavelchick of Blairsville, who was sentenced for a charge of resisting arrest. He was placed on probation for a year and ordered to pay fines and court costs.
