Several accidents have been reported in Indiana County.
A Clymer man was injured Saturday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on Route 286 in Blacklick Township. State police say 49-year-old Michael Nebel was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh with apparent head injuries. Police say Nebel was partially ejected from his pickup truck, which left the highway on a left curve, struck an embankment, then crossed back over the road and struck the guiderails.
Firefighters from Pine Township were summoned for an accident on School Road in Pine Township shortly before 11 AM Saturday. Yet another accident was reported in Westmoreland County along Tunnelton Road near Saltsburg. Saltsburg firefighters were called to the scene just after 6:30 PM.
Police have also issued a report on a Friday afternoon crash on Route 22 in Burrell Township. The driver, who has not been publicly identified, escaped injury when her car struck a jersey barrier near Palmer Road, then spun out across the highway and landed in a ditch.
