Both the Indiana and Marion Center School Boards are going to hold one meeting this month, and that meeting is tonight.
The Indiana School Board tonight has on it’s draft agenda the approval of the agreement with White Township for additional fencing work at the softball field at Kennedy-King Park. The White Township supervisors had agreed to take part in the project. The district, the township and softball boosters will each take on a third of the costs for the new permanent fencing to be installed at the field. The team had been using temporary “snow fences” which have been a proven safety hazard for anyone playing outfield.
The board also has up for approval a wellness agreement between the district and IRMC, and approval of the district’s participation with White Township in a storm water grant program.
The Marion Center School Board combined session will be tonight as well, with the district filing their own comprehensive plan, along with other routine items.
