Several homes and businesses in the downtown Indiana area were affected by a power outage last night.
Indiana Borough reported on its Facebook page that the outage was due to a traffic accident at the intersection of Oakland Avenue and Church Street that damaged two utility poles. Indiana County 911 did not have a report on the accident, but the power went out at 4:50 PM on Monday and was out for a good portion of the night as crews worked on clearing the scene and making repairs to the damaged power lines and utility poles. Power was restored late last night.
