An Indiana County newspaper has been sold to a company based out of Corry.
The Indiana Gazette reported today that the newspaper was sold to Sample News Group. Terms of the deal were not released. Sample News Group is owned by George “Scoop” Sample, and the company owns over 75 publications in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire.
The Indiana Gazette has been in operation for more than 100 years, most recently under the ownership of the Donnelly family. The Gazette reported that sale will not affect operations at Gazette Printers, as they will continue under the ownership of Indiana Printing and Publishing.
