In Indiana County Court today, Judge William Martin is scheduled to conduct two post-sentence motions hearings for 19-year-old Ryshawn Crawford, who is originally from Philadelphia, for two separate cases of aggravated harassment by a prisoner. He was sentenced to up to five years in prison for the cases that date back to February 8th and March 2nd of last year.
Crawford ran into a lot of trouble while serving time at SCI Pine Grove. He had six criminal filings for aggravated harassment by a prisoner, including one in which he attacked another inmate in a holding cell at the county courthouse for refusing Crawford’s demand to give him his lunch.
Crawford is now serving his sentence at SCI-Albion. Originally charged with 88 criminal offenses in a robbery case in Delaware County, he pleaded guilty in 2018 to single counts of robbery and conspiracy to robbery, and was sentenced to consecutive terms of five to ten years for the first offense and five years for the second.
Other cases in county court today include a Plea Court appearance by 69-year-old Rudolph Vrbanic of Creekside before Judge Thomas Bianco. Vrbanic is charged with simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct (fighting).
Also before Judge Bianco, ten DUI defendants will both plead and be sentenced, and four defendants who have already pled guilty to DUI and related offenses will be sentenced.
